going for a bike ride...

I rolled out 202km that day. My personal record is 515km solo in a day. I remember quite vividly the first time I ever rode over 200km in a day. It was epic. The days we remember the most in life are the ones where we bite off more than we can chew and keep chewing..What are you going to remember for today?

Thank goodness your battery ran out!

Interesting blog! Good vid.

So anyway, I noticed at around the 6min mark you talk about the connection between saturated fat, cholesterol and heart disease.

Makes me wonder what you make of this:

"A meta-analysis of prospective epidemiologic studies showed that there is no significant evidence for concluding that dietary saturated fat is associated with an increased risk of CHD or CVD. More data are needed to elucidate whether CVD risks are likely to be influenced by the specific nutrients used to replace saturated fat. Am J Clin Nutr doi: 10.3945/ajcn.2009.27725. "

Hi durianrider. I am keen to learn more about the health benefits of 30BAD, but am still curious about your views on satfat, cholesterol and CHD.

Providence has thrown up two interesting links today, the content of which you might find intersting:

1) http://www.drbriffa.com/blog/2010/07/22/low-cholesterol-levels-associated-with-depression-and-other-mental-health-issues/

“It is shown that low cholesterol levels in serum are associated and related to different neuropsychiatric disorders. Lowered cholesterol levels seem likely to be linked to higher rates of early death, suicide, aggressive and violent behaviour, personality disorders, and possibly depression, dementia and penal confinement among young males.”

Any thoughts from you?
